1. Introduction

MealFridge is a mobile cooking copilot app (fridge scanning, meal planning, shopping list), developed by Clément Gallais. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use the MealFridge app.

By using MealFridge, you agree to the practices described in this document.

2. Data collected

• Email address and login information (Apple Sign In, Google Sign In or email/password)
• Food profile: diets, allergies, kitchen tools, budget, pregnancy
• Ingredients entered, scanned fridge photos and saved recipes
• Meal plans and shopping lists generated
• Billing data managed exclusively by Apple via in-app purchases (and by RevenueCat for subscription management)

3. Photos and AI scanning

When you scan your fridge, the photo is sent to our AI analysis service (Anthropic) to identify ingredients. Photos are not stored on our servers after analysis.

4. Use of data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Personalize the recipes, meal plans and decisions generated
• Ensure your data syncs across devices
• Save your preferences between sessions
• Manage your Premium subscription
• Improve the app's features

5. Data sharing

Your data is never sold. It may only be shared with the following technical providers:

• Anthropic — recipe generation and photo analysis (without identifying data)
• Supabase — secure storage and authentication
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Apple — payment processing via the App Store
• Vercel — backend hosting

6. Data retention

Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can request the deletion of your account and all your data at any time by contacting us at the address below — it is then erased within 30 days.

7. Security

All data is transmitted via HTTPS and stored securely. Access is protected by strong authentication. No tracking cookies are used.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection to the processing of your personal data.

9. Children

MealFridge is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data about minors under 13.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. In case of a significant change, we will notify you via the app or by email. The last update date is shown at the top of this document.
